Mass Haul Diagram
Mass haul diagram (long sect. and cross sect.) - things you need to provide before start any earthworks activity. Its to determine especially the quantity of cut and fill required. Informations need to produce the diagram are the OGL survey data. From the diagram any VO can be trace at the early stage of construction.
Survey Work
OGL-to confirm with pre com level. And then minus 150mm stripping top soil and level after that is EGL/existing ground level (reference level for calculate the volume of cut and fill)
Quantity/Joint Measurement
To remind that before every covering works (sand, geotextile, earth fill etc), joint measurement or survey must be conducted between the client and contractor.
CULVERT
Installation of Culvert
1.Method of costruction - opening or trenching method.
2. Get the existing invert level and location, compare with construction drawings - Skew of culvert (is also determine type of outlet / inlet structure), the gradient, type / class culvert, size, type of culvert bedding (sand / crusher run / rc Pile) .
3. Class of culvert - Before installing, check the class of culvert (exmp: z, 1.5z, 2.5z). The class mean a guide or reference for maximum height can be filled on top of the culvert. (z = 1.5m height)
4. Spigot joint - Rubber ring to install together. Normally use at sand bedding areas. Line load of the culvert must be determined before the installation of the culvert. Culvert to be installed from the upstream toward the down stream.
